YouTube. YouTube hails as the second most popular search engine in the world today, right behind its parent company, Google
YouTube is the second most popular search engine in the world today, right behind its parent company, Google. That’s pretty impressive considering YouTube is a video sharing website where users can upload, view, and share videos. YouTube was founded in February 2005 by Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim. The first ever YouTube video was uploaded on April 23, 2005 by Karim and it showed footage of elephants at the San Diego Zoo. In November 2006, Google acquired YouTube for $1.65 billion dollars in stock.
Since then, YouTube has become incredibly popular with over 1 billion active users per month who watch an average of 5 billion videos every day! There are all sorts of videos on YouTube ranging from educational content to funny cat videos to music videos to full-length movies and TV shows. You can pretty much find anything you’re looking for on YouTube. And if you can’t find what you’re looking for, there’s a good chance someone has uploaded a video about it!
One of the reasons why YouTube is so popular is because it’s easy to use and anyone can upload their own videos. All you need is a Google account and you can start uploading your own videos right away! You don’t need any fancy equipment or editing skills either – all you need is a phone or camera and you can start filming your own content immediately. This has resulted in a lot of “amateur” but still entertaining content being uploaded on to the site which keeps viewers coming back for more. Another reason why people keep coming back to watch more videos on YouTube is because the site uses algorithms that recommend similar content based on what viewers have watched before. This helps keep people engaged on the platform for longer periods of time as they continue to watch one recommended video after another.
There are also many professional creators who have made careers out of posting regular content on to their own dedicated channels. These creators often work with brands or companies who want to advertise through their channel, resulting in even more revenue streams for them. Some examples of these successful professional YouTubers include PewDiePie, DanTDM, Dude Perfect, Casey Neistat, Jeffree Star, James Charles, Shane Dawson, among many others. As you can see, there are all sorts of different types of channels and creators on YouTube with something for everyone to enjoy!

The site started out as a way for college students to connect with each other, but it quickly expanded to anyone 13 years or older with an email address. Facebook originally had a very simple design, but it has since become much more complex and features rich.
In recent years, Facebook has become known for its controversies, such as the Cambridge Analytica scandal and Russian interference in the 2016 US election. However, despite these issues, Facebook remains one of the most popular social networking sites in the world.

It was the early days of social media. A time when you could still log on to your favorite site and see only a handful of people you knew. When “trending” wasn’t a thing, and you could actually have a conversation with someone without worry of being bombarded by ads.
It was also a time when people were just starting to figure out how to use this new tool. Some saw it as a way to connect with old friends, while others used it as an opportunity to meet new people from all over the world.
For one young woman, social media was her lifeline. She had been diagnosed with an incurable disease and was told she had only months to live. But instead of giving up, she decided to use social media to help raise awareness about her condition in the hopes that someone, somewhere would find a cure before it was too late.
She started posting about her journey online, sharing everything from her doctors appointments to her struggles and victories along the way. She quickly gained a following of people who were inspired by her courage and fighting spirit. And while there was still no cure for her disease, she found solace in knowing that she’d made a difference in the lives of so many others simply
